ive been trying to gather information about 2005 STi cluster swap into an 2005 WRX, but havnt found any information most or all information are for users trying to install an 2005 STi cluster into an 2004 WRX and they says its not plug and play.

What i want to know is if there is someone who has done it on an 2005 to 2005 swap and how it went? was any extra modification included? what will and what will not work?

i want to know if i would need to rewire things eg: cut wires, shave plugs etc? or that is plug and play for 2005 on 2005?

Please if someone know chime in...

As soon as i have the information i shall purchase the cluster and do the install so users who have it done please report.

I've done a 2004 STi cluster into a 2005 WRX. If you get the 2005 STi cluster, you'll have to switch around 2-3 wires I believe. Also, one of the plugs apparently does not fit from what other forum members have said.

In my install, I just switched one of the cruise indicator lights and taped up various lights that were on like I/C water spray and DCCD. The only weird thing is the ABS indicator cicuitry is different between the 2004 and 2005 models so if you use a 2004 cluster, your ABS light will be on, but it does not affect the ABS system.

edit: I just noticed you are located in Aruba. Do you get WRXs with USDM specs?

No we get export models, made for the latin america.

we get 17" rims, bigger fog lights, 4pot/2pot brakes, etc all the goodies..

its like the euro version. LHD
