I'm selling my used STi utec. It has about 9k on it. This will fit 04+ STi's and Turbo Forester, if I'm not mistacing. The only thing missing are the two long bolts that connect the ECU to the Utec, but you can order them from TurboXs.

Sold

I paid for the item(Turbo XS Utec automotive computer)on the 1st of October, 2006 and received the item in question around the 9th of October, 2006. I never received a tracking number but the seller assured me that it was on it's way. I opened the item and noticed that the void warranty seal on it was broken/torn in half. I didn't think anything of it until my performance automotive shop tried to install it in 2 different vehicles with no success, the item would not work. The seller stated that the item was in good working condition before I had bought it. Also, the package that I received was in good condition, undamaged, and not tampered with. I would like a refund from the seller in the amount of $400.00 USD and I will ship the item back to the seller.

For some reason NASIOC will not allow me to post in the scammer central dept.

Re: Utec

The package was just fine! I am being serious here and I expect you to refund my money or I will take appropriate action. My performance shop states that the Utec is not functioning properly and will not work. Also, I can not send it in to Turbo XS because the warranty seal is broken, it was broken before I got the Utec and you know that.

As soon as the money is in my account I will ship the Utec back to you and we can wipe our hands clean of this. I hope that you make the right decision.

Thanks,
Tom W

I have been forced to send this thing in to TurboXS, thankfully they are nice guys and will give me a new one at cost if it comes down to that. Hopefully they will be able to figure our whats wrong with it and we can finally prove that it wasen't a shipping error and that grantn is a scammer!

Sorry, you got screwed. At least our transaction went smooth.
What did paypal tell you?
My problem that I have been dealing has finally getting to the DA, I had to do all of the detective work. The stupid local authorities told me Friday that they were at a dead end.
Two hours later I called the detective with the money order deposit slip into the bank account of the thief.
Monday got a meating with the thiefs parents, they tried to buy me out and I said no deal. Prosecution is the only way. Cant wait till Monday.
The block is sitting in my living room on the floor, awaiting Crawford magic touch.
Good luck, hopefully this will get resolved.

Thanks, after all of the back and forth talking and claim fileing, paypal said that since it's not a shipping issue thay can't help me:mad: , they could have told me that before I went through all of the trouble! The seller won't play ball and is sticking with the story that it worked fine before he sent it and that the waranty seal was not broken:rolleyes: , I even took it to my performance shop before I opened it and they noticed that it was broken, they even hooked it up to 2 other STi's and it did not work! So my only option was to flame the seller and send the Utec to TurboXS as a trade in.

Doesnt paypal also have the "Item not as described" protection?
If not what I would do if I were you is email the internet crime ICW site. Tell them the entire story. Also go to your local post office if it was sent via USPS it becomes a mail fraud issue.
You could also contact your local police and report it as "theft by deception" it is a misdemenor, but if he pleads out or goes to court you would receive restitution.
Believe me I have done all of those things to the thief I am dealing with, it worked as far as the parents tried to pay me off, but I want justice served. I will get my money plus he will have a conviction as an adult which will follow him for at least the next ten years.

Good luck

hopefully you paid with a CC

if you did call your credit card company file a dispute. theyll go to PP and take the money back. PP will then go to the seller to get their money back you can then be a nice guy and tellem if he wants his garbage back to send money to ship it back.

Thats a good idea, however I have already sent it in to TurboXs to see what they can do. I may end up getting it replaced at no cost. I will find out by next week. If it's going to cost a crap load of money to fix then I will try it that way.
