We picked up our second WRX last night, a white 5 spd sedan. Our first was a silver wagon with the 4EAT. I asked our dealer to place us on the list for an STi when and if they became available. When we were getting ready to leave, our salesperson said that SIA had informed them that day that the STi would enter production for the US. She said she would know more about options and price at the end of the 1Q02.

dealers would never lie. i'm convinced :rolleyes:

Spread the word, the STI is finally coming to the US ! ;) ;)

Funny how they waited to tell you AFTER you'd bought two. That way there's no waiting around for you and they don't lose a sale! :lol:

When you think about it I don't think that the STI will be coming within the next year. If we are lucky we might get it for the 2004 modle year. :devil:

Back in January at Detroit, "a couple of years if sales go well" was said by Subaru. As to if that means 2 years from January 2001 or 2 years from March 2001, I don't know.

What I do know is sales are going well, and it is a 90% for sure thing we will see a STi. :) They may try to push it out as fast as they can, I have heard Fall 2002 many times, both coming second hand from VERY credible sources. The other date being thrown about is April-May 2003. I think we can expect a STi anywhere from 12-18 months from now.
