The first time we met late at night merely by chance. I was BONE STOCK on stock rims and RE92's w/35k miles, SRT had a stg1, BOV, and exhaust. It was even through second from the light then he pulled on me until we slowed @ about 90. He took the left turn lane and I took the right towards my place and I hadn't seen him for about 2 months since then. I then happened to run into him again 2 weekends ago on the way to a Subaru is Life meet @ VTR in Everett. After some piping and the usual SRT fanboy routine it looked like showtime. Except this time I was on P225/40YR/18 S-03 PP's, HKS Ti Hi-Power CBE, replaced all the factory vacuum/boost couplings with slightly larger ID pieces yielding about 1-1.5 additional PSI, fresh tune and alignment, rear diff braces, sedan rear sway bar setup, ECU reflash, 94 Octane premium, a passenger, and a SS catless downpipe in the rear hatch in daytime heat. There was a car in the right lane with it's blinker on as I compression braked in second coming up to the light with the SRT in the left lane. The dude in the right lane then turns his blinker off so instead I switched lanes and coasted up right behind the SRT. As the light changed I was clutch in @ 3k so in case the SRT backed out I wasn't gonna rearend him. He brought the revs up late and got the hit as the light went green and I flashed it to 4.5k and slid off the clutch smooth. He had 2 lengths on me and thats all he got til he hit the hazards @ 110 and coasted down. The next run was side by side from a roll @ about 30-35 and I was in 3rd. I wanted the hit and I was on the second honk when I downshifted into 2nd & clutched in @ 6k and slid the clutch on the 3rd honk. Revs dropped to about 4250 as the clutch fully engaged and I took 3 on him right away and had him by about 6 @ redline in 4th when I hit the hazards. As in most confrontations of this type it is still more about the skill of the drivers and how well they know their vehicle's capabilities than the vehicles themselves. But my rear windows ARE electric & I can seat 5 AND their gear, and take it places where the SRT could only go if it fell off a truck and went over a cliff...
