i have sourced a 13k motor from a 04 WRX. amazing deal, with engine/harness/ecu/swaybar/xmember. sorry, the search engine here returns so much useless info this motor will be gone by the time i re research the 04 swap.

main questions: does the cluster from an 04 fit the 02 dash? what wiring will i need to hook it up? does the 04 front swaybar & xmember also fit the 02 rs?

little questions: how bad will it be to run (not racing, just daily driving) on my stock suspension/brakes for a month or two?

do any of you know of anything else that i should get from the donor?

any help is greatly appreciated. i'll be pitching in once mine is done & i know a little more!

i did S202 into 04 RS, so from what ive seen:

the cluster will fit no prob. use ur stock rs wiring harness.
the front swaybar and xmember SHOULD fit.

i don't know how your brakes will run...my setup came with brembos / suspension.

i suppose the rs tranny n rear diff will work, but im not crazy fond of it...just my opinion.

where's your power steering reservoir? Is yours currently located on the engine, or behind the headlight (pass. side) on the body of the car? Im pretty sure yours will be behind the headlight ... if not steal the wrx's.

PS. Get Zephyr250 to do your wiring. He did mine, i couldn't be happier :)

The fsb and xmember will fit after the swap. Your stock suspension and brakes will be fine; I'm almost positive that the brakes, struts, and springs on an 02 RS are the exact ones that are on the 02 WRX.
