Where is the best place, ie. easiest, place to install the intake temp sensor?

I haven't received a response back from Vivid Racing on this, so I look to the forum for help. This is the last thing I need to hook up to plug in the ecu and try to start the car. I was thinking of putting it in the intercooler above the neck leading to the throttle body, but I am super hesitant about this..

call up eastcoastswappers.com or garagetuning.com they can tell you. Noticed your car will be similar to mine.

have you had fun with wiring? Most of my time with that was second guessing what to do and then finally doing it. I cringe at the thought of frying $2k worth of ecu.

youll probably want it in the.... intake.... ;)

its probably for cold start and stuff, so id assume before turbo, like the stock one is

Well, I reread the manual from Autronic and it definetly says to place after turbo and intercoolers. I am going to place into the intercooler on the side or top next to the neck. The software with the ign on shows an air temp and a charge temp so I am assuming that the sensor will measure the charge temp. Just need to put downpipe and intercooler back on to fire today. :)

put it some where in the charge pipe between the intercooler and the throttle body. that is where mine is. but that is the intake air temp sensor. the charge temp is a calculation that the software makes using the IAT readings and the coolant temps.

that explains some. anyways, already put next to the left side of the pipe. As long as it is in the airflow I think it should be fine.

the closer to the throttle body the better.
tells the ecu exactly whats going into the throttle body.
