Assume we get essentially the UK STi, with 265 HP. First off, anybody know how much boost the UK model is set at?

Second, how much HP/Boost would it take to get the STi into 12 second territory? I believe it's in the mid-13s stock... could be wrong though.

Any plans on a Unichip for the STi (question for Turboxs, I guess)?

Thanks.

this isn't an answer more of an informative update as to the specs and various models out there:

Stock JDM I believe can do it. Not sure where I have seen this, but I will try to look it up. As for if we get 265HP, it won't take much.. :D

JDM Boost: 17.5
UK Boost: guessing here maybe around 16-16.5 (if somebody knows, do tell)

In this month's Banzai Magazine, a lightly modified (cat back, air filter, BOV) STi V.5 RA did a 13.19 @ approx. 105 MPH in the quarter. This car had stock 276 bhp, and 260 lbs-ft torque, plus the ultra close gearbox and a variable center diff which allegedly helps with traction on launch. This car was also at least 200 lbs lighter than any US STi will ever be. (Has lightweight chassis, bumper beams, etc.)

With all that in mind, a stock US STi with more weight, less power, and taller gears (yes, even on the 6 speed; RA gears are ultra short), will be very lucky to get (IMO) a mid-13 quarter. I would assume high 13s to be more likely.

Sorry if this it OT.
