Aftermarket tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) have been around for about 10 years, but they’re very expensive and offer very limited information. Recent technological developments have made the systems more affordable, as well as providing the driver with very detailed and accurate information.

Our TIRE SPY TPMS has a compact display that mounts at the top of the windshield on Volvo models and provides you with real-time tire pressure and temperature of all four tires. The system automatically cycles through all four tires about four times every minute. The flashing tire on the display indicates which tire is currently being monitored. The system comes with pre-set high and low pressure and temperature limits and you can select metric or SAE units. You can also set your own activation limits. When the system senses a problem, you’ll get both an audible and visual alert with specific details on the tire that is out of spec. When you rotate your tires, the system allows re-configuration through the sensor exchange mode, a simple selection on the display. By purchasing an additional sensor, you can also monitor the condition of your spare tire (available below). If you run different sets of wheels and tires (winter/summer) you can purchase a spare set of 4 sensors so that the system will function with either set of tires (also available below). Once installed and set up, the system functions automatically and doesn’t require any user input to function and provide continuous real-time monitoring for the ultimate in safety and convenience.

Installation is straightforward. The display uses a mounting bracket that adheres to the windshield and the display snaps to the bracket so you can easily remove it to make changes in your settings when needed. Simple three-wire connection to a constant 12-volt source, a switched 12-volt source and a chassis ground, all of which can be accessed in the driver’s cockpit area.
