I have an 04 WRX and one of my foglights just burned out. I was reading this thread before:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1083393
I found some interesting info there, but my only problem is that I don't know how to actually install a new foglight replacement bulb. The manual just says to take it to the dealer, but I'd really rather do it myself if there's instructions out there anywhere.
So if anyone has any suggestions, I'm looking for the best bulb for the $ and instructions on how to install it. Any ideas?

Don't go through all of that! It takes 2 minutes each side. All you need to do is remove two clips holding the side skid plate and then pull the plate down and out of the way. Reach up from underneath and twist the rear assembly and it will come out. Unplug the light, press the spring clip and voila! Installation is the reverse. Be careful NOT to touch the bulb and also the spring clip is sometimes hard to clip back on. --Steve

I don't think every car is the same because using SLKatzdorn's method is impossible on my 04 WRX on the passenger side. There's just no room on my car to untwist the back of the fog and remove it. I can untwist it, but there's no room for it to come off. Something is blocking it. And believe me, once I tried for freaking hours. My family thought I was nuts. And I almost lost it. Especially when the fog light burned out 3 weeks later.
For me, best method is to take off the front fog surrounds, crawl underneath the car, remove the underbody plastic, unscrew two bolts holding on the fogs, crawl out from under the car, pull fogs from front of bumper, change bulbs and reinstall. Takes about 20-30 minutes. But now I have JDM fogs, so the bulb changing is a little different.

Bumping an old thread with an unrelated question? I don't think so.
