Hey all,

I've been experiencing some weird issues lately with my H.I.D kit and wanted to see if anyone knew what is causing it. So I had my H.I.D. kit for about a year now and never had a problem with it. Just recently, every so often when I turn my headlights on, my driver side light with power on but they are very dim and they would also flash/flicker like they were strobe lights. They continue to do this until I flash the high beams on and off several times which then, it would power on like normal and the flashing/flickering would dissapear. Any ideas? I check my ground, bulb, wiring, and ballast and everything seems to be normal. Could it be a relay, fuse, bad bulb or ballast? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. By the way, my H.I.D. is a mcculloch h1 kit.

By chance, have you disabled your DRL unit behind the glovebox?

Check your relay. The same thing happened to my kit and it turned out the relay was soaked in water and corroded. The kit only had one relay, but one light worked and the other flickered. Apparently one circuit was fine and the other had a lot of corrosion. Check into it --Steve

i had the EXACT same problem with my lights. I got sick and tired of it and ended up giving them awya to my friend for his project AE86.
check the relays and if needed replace them. i was too lazy to do so since the lights sucked anyhow. they didnt work that well in 02 STi EDM projectors.
