I hope this is the right part of the forums but anyway i was looking at an 03 WRX and the last time i looked i took a quick peak at the miles on it and i could have sworn it was about 60000 some miles on it but when i came back it said it only had 23000 some odd miles on it is their anyway a used dealer could possibly change the digital odometer on a wrx???

they definitely could change it, it's been done before by people who swapped out clusters and wanted their real miles put on. however, i don't know how it's done and i don't know how to prove it. i'm assuming a good mechanic could put a ballpark figure on the actual miles.

Ask to see the title. It should have the miles at trade-in and the previous owner's name. The dealer usually is listed as an interim owner and the title is reissued to the retail purchaser. This saves the dealer from paying title fees. You can also ask for a carfax on it.
