I would love to go, but the DE1 - 2 prices for the BMW club are just too much. :(

I will have to catch a CRA event with CRA pricing.

Yeah, i confirmed this^. Cra is running this with the bmw club, with no de1 with cra. So the classroom instruction is only with bmw, and the cost is much higher:( The Nov cra event, will be 3 days, and include de1 for sure!

It's in avondale. Here's a link to the Club Racing AZ site for more info: http://168.158.29.110/default.asp

If you are coming from Mesa, make your way to the I-10 and take it west to Avondale BLVD, exit and head south. Avondale goes all the way to the track.

The event was pretty fun.

The sun got a little opressive in the afternoon, but we had some shade to hide in.

I concur. They were not hugely powerful from the factory (275ish hp) but I think they could be modded to near 1000 hp levels. They look sweet (for old school).

Looked like rush hour traffic or was that just at the begining of the session?

moxie
10-24-2006, 05:03 PM
Traffic was good all day actually...

That was probably 2 or 3 laps in...

I spent most of the day alone, or being chased by a faster car for a lap or two. :)

One of our guys took a bunch of pics, but hasn't uploaded them yet. I'll make sure to link them, so you can see if 2-3 is in there. I didn't take any pics, as i was feeling like poo all day.

Hey wagon what R compounds are you going to be runing.

WgnWheel
10-26-2006, 06:52 PM
the wrong kind lol. i have a set of 235/40 Yoko A032r's that i bought to use on the 240. unfortunately, they are the soft compound, and not ideal for a heavy awd car. but they've been sitting in the garage for 6 months, so i may as well use them up and see how they do. i'll be running them at full tread depth.
