View Full Version : Who has a dog crate?
MikeyMike 10-14-2006, 03:18 PM I was wondering who has a size large, i think it's like 28" tall, that they would sell me for cheap or give me?
The dog has to go! He is trying to snip at my new baby. :furious: Please respond ASAP. I am shipping my dog out to my inlaws and i dont want to buy a new crate for 70 dollars. Thanks!:(
Mavrik 10-14-2006, 04:04 PM Hope and I use ours and its probably to small... so doubt we could even lend it to ya.
yeah the dog shouldn't be snipping... probably jealous though

Anyone else?
ImaBrat 10-14-2006, 10:16 PM We have one that might be big enough. You're more than welcome to come by and check it out if you want. We're in Silver Run next to Boniface gate.
AKLGT 10-14-2006, 10:21 PM how big is your dog?
MikeyMike 10-15-2006, 01:51 AM he is a shar-pei and he is about the size of a golden retriever.
ImaBrat 10-15-2006, 02:25 AM Ours is a Large kennel so he should be fine in it but you're more than welcome to come check. Our dog out-grew it so we had to get an XL
MikeyMike 10-15-2006, 02:50 AM oh darn, i could trade you. I have the brown one that is size XL. can i come get it tomorrow? you can even have this one as an extra.
MikeyMike 10-15-2006, 10:54 PM Thanks ImaBrat,
You saved me big bucks. If you guys ever need help with anything, let me know.
03bluwrx 10-16-2006, 01:00 AM actually.. yes. do you wanna help me install a downpipe?
MikeyMike 10-16-2006, 01:05 AM Sure. Then i can learn how to do it for when i install mine in may.
Family_guy 10-16-2006, 02:34 PM You buy a $27,000+ ride and can't afford the dog divider...you can spare the cash from something brand new for your best friend.
You can do it!
Minimaul 10-16-2006, 02:52 PM I don't think it has to do with keeping the dog in the back of the car. From what I gathered the dog was nipping and his baby. Thus, causing him to get rid of the dog.
I could be wrong though because I just skimmed this thread.
00Maddog 10-16-2006, 04:52 PM i had a shar-pei once, and if they decide that the new baby is a threat like yours has, you are doing the right thing. shar-pei's are very difficult to introduce to new members of the family, and with a baby one bite is too much. feel good you have at least found the dog a new home! :)
btw the suxor is my neighbor just threw away a kennel the size you need, but someone grabbed it out of the dumpster!

You're right on. I am shipping the dog cargo to new hampshire. Thats 500 dollars if i use the size XL crate that i have. It's only 350 if i use the size smaller, which fits him right anyway. And of course i'm strapped for cash, buying all my STi parts.

It's cool, i got one for free.

Are you serious? he's lucky i am keeping him in the family. I could save my 500 bucks and buy a nice DP instead of shipping him to the inlaws. Minimaul is right, 1 bite on my infant son is too much. Even the vet i spoke to today agrees that giving him away is the best choice.
Racer Dubya 10-16-2006, 08:42 PM Good call Mike... he is just being a dog but you can't watch him 24/7 and it only takes a second for something to happen that you could regret for a life time.
I had to get rid of my retriever a few years back... I hated to do it but the dog and I were much happier in the end.
MikeyMike 10-18-2006, 06:24 PM Well, the dog made it safely to New Hampshire. 18 hours later. I even got him the good treatment. at his 7 hour layover in Minnesota, he got the spa treatment kennel service. I know, what a nice guy. hehe
It's bittersweet.
Minimaul 10-18-2006, 06:47 PM Glad to see the dog made it okay. That's quite the trip!
If my dog did anything like that, i'd get rid of her too. But, then again, I don't have a baby--and I probably wont for a long, long, long, long, long time. Infact, if I'm not married and/or have a kid by the time i'm 30 then I'm getting a vesectamy and another dog to keep me company.
I try to keep my dog away from kids 'cause she's way to hyper for them. She's already pounced one dumbass kid who tried to play fetch with her. So, I'm super paranoid about it. If I was ever to get rid of the ole bitch i'd be super picky about who she goes too. There's no way I could just give her to a shelter, there's like one or two family memebers I'd give her to (my mother is not one of them) and maybe one friend--whom I don't talk to. But, I don't plan on getting rid of my dog anytime soon. Even if my life will get a whole lot better and more 'free'.
