So I called ISR Auto Care Subaru and they want to be childish and not give me the actual IHI Part Number for the VF22,23,24, and 30...i could have sworn that being helpful was part of customer service...but apparently some dealers chose to be "secretive"

Does anyone know what the actual part number for these turbos or a place that I can find out?

On an aside..if anyone wants part numbers for any of this stuff i sale...

I have no secrets.
:)

As a fellow vendor, to be honest, I can't blame them necessarily...they may not even have the #'s.....most opeople don't, only a select few (as the part numbers are not oin the turbos, just the VF series designation

No, ISR doesn't let people know the numbers. I order some stuff from them and they tear out the part of the box that has the part number on it.

well thats a cheezy way to keep a monopoly on a product.

That sucks for the customers...oh well...business practices like that usually have negative reprocussions.

I completely agree with adam. This is how vendors make money somebody has to eat.

Maybe they don't have tons of time to hand out info to everyone who calls...

i agree....this kind of information should flow freely among enthusiasts and vendors alike.

you don't see this kind of crap going on on other bb for other cars...look how much information follows around in the dsm camps.

ISR sent me FREE hardwear to adapt my o2 sensor to the pass side - even though I bought the BPM from Exeter - they are hardly un-helpful - - maybe its b/c you are a vendor

Dealing with ISR is like diapers for bladder control. Depends.

Has anyone contacted the people at http://www.umsrally.com/? Their website lists a LOT of part numbers, so they don't seem too shy about revealing them to the outside world.

I can't seem to get a response out of Uchiyama, at least not via email.

Pam Dowell at ISR has always been prompt and helpful to me in providing information and handling purchase transactions. GoodFinder :)

There is a forum for vendor feedback/attack/defense and this aint it (yes, I shouldn't add to that, either).

I somehow doubt that this thread will put ISR out of business!!:p I have had great dealings with them other than a bit of a wait for some products. Anyway, IBTL.......this is hardly the forum for this thread!!

Jon, just curious where you got this info from, as I have this turbo sitting on my computer desk as I type this. Part number is 14412AA091, which leads me to believe that it is the same turbo as the other 16G you mentioned because most of the time when Subaru part numbers are only off by a single digit, it's usually the same part, just a newer year or different supplier or something along those lines. There is the chance that it is indeed a different turbo though, which would be great :) I'm on my way right now to the local Turbo Specialist to see how much is involved with getting this to work on my WRX.

Also, the factory Group A cars have always used IHI turbos IIRC. ;)

TIA.

It is our policy & has always been our policy not to give out part numbers. There are many vendors who do have the same policy as we do.
The I-Club was designed for people to get information from so I am sure the part numbers are here on the board somewhere.
I am sorry if you think we are childish, but our policy will not change.

This forum is provided for customers to review/share their vendor experiences with others who are considering making purchases from these vendors. This is not the place for vendors to bash other vendors business policies.

Because the thread is nowhere near the content that was intended for this forum, it has been locked.
