:( Let me start off by saying this is my opinion and my opinion alone.

I purchased my car there in July of 2005. The car I purchased was a 2003 WRB WRX with a STi wing installed. The sales side of the house was excellant to me. I did not have Crazyhorse assiting me as I did not know what Nasioc was at that time. The car I purchased was used (previously owned by Nasioc Member)

Mods on the car when purchased- Progress Springs, Front Hotchkis swaybar, HKS uppipe, Samco radiator hose. Car was a stage 4 reduced to stage 1 for trade in. (Did not know this until about 2 weeks later)

Issue #1. Problems started on the Mon 2 days after sale. Driving to work temp guage shot up to right below Hot mark. Pulled over and shut down. Called salesman and he said bring it in. If I couldn't make then he would send a flatbed. Cut AC off and drove it dealership about 3 miles away with temp guage high but not in the red. Diagnosis was bad thermostat/ replaced. Got car back and Samco hose was missing. Coming from a Mustang you can get blue Motorcraft hoses for 30 or so dollars I did not make a big deal about it. The service writer stated they replaced the hose because it was defective. I now believe one of the techs has a Subaru with my Samco hose on it. Car has had intermittant cooling issues since I have had the thermostat replaced. Always smelled a little antifreeze, never could find a puddle or a leak. Finally had it pressure tested- Hose clamp was not tightened on radiator hose when thermostat was replaced- Fluid was leaking here and pooling in the skid plate.

Issue #2: Clucking suspension- returned to dealership with complaint of clunking suspension. Service writer called me (documented) and said my sway bar was too big that it was tapping and suggested I purchase a new stock sway bar installed for a little over 300.00. I said I purchased the car with that sway bar no thank you. had personal mechanic look at the suspension, end link was loose. Tightened- no more issues.

Issue #3: Check engine light comes on everytime I fill up. Strong Fuel smell in the car. Roaring noise from the front right side of car. Returned to dealership.
Service writer (total A-Hole) said the check engine light and fuel odor was caused by me not tightning the gas cap. Cleared code and preceded to tell me to make sure I turned the cap until it clicks at least 3 times. Roaring noise he did not want to diagnose because tires were new on the front and old on the back. (6 month difference) I informed him that I wanted to try to eliminate the issue myself so I went to get the car aligned and get new tires. Discount tires has 2 in my size and I had to order 2. Next day is when i went to dealership and told him my other 2 tires were on the way. After more excuses he told me straght up it was probably tire noise and if he had his techs diagnosis it and it it was not a wear bearing that I would be charged the labor. At this point I was a little more then upset so I headed over the the other Subie Dealership in Charlotte. Wife called my salesman to explained what had just happened. Salesman calls me and asks me to return the car to Folger and he would take car of me. I returned and was sent to the younger service writer who was very helpful. None of the issues of the OLD service writer came up. Salesman even gave me a loaner for the weekend. Turns out Fuel smell was crimped gasket on Fuel pump access door. (for the record this had a stock fuel pump in it when I purchased it however the previous owner had a Walbro.) Replaced fuel pump seal- no more smell or check engine. WOW. Roaring sound was bad front right wheel bearing. another WOW.

No customer service. Rude. Treats you like they could give a @#$*. Sales side.. I would buy a car from there again. Service dept. Would not let them work on my sons skateboard.

I guess I would recommend that when they get a trade in on a Subie that they should have a tech really go through the car and check the areas that usually get modded. When my car was taken from stage 4 to stage 1 everything was thrown on and very little was tightened. I had a turbo hose to the intercooler pop off under full boost merging onto a hwy. Not Safe as the car immediately cut off.... then until I got a boost guage I never knew I only had 8PSI of boost. Seems when the stock turbo was put back on the hose with the pill was routed incorrectly. I guess it was harder on me coming from a Mustang and not too familiar with turbocharged flat four.. I see no excuse for the dealership maint departments. I rate the dealerships service department a negative rating. Sales department gets an A.
