This is a project car that I bought about a year and a half ago from an insurance auction and had it shipped over to chicago from utah. Car is bone stock and does not have any body rust, and from what I can tell it was just a daily driver. I believe there was just one owner before me (from carfax report) and it does have a salvage title, which I have in hand, and available to sign over to whoever buys the car.
Here's the lowdown: its a 1999 silverthorne RS coupe. 5-speed manual, 110K miles, with the digital guage pack, CD player and basically bone stock. As you can tell from the pictures, it will need bodywork done to the passenger rear qtr. panel, some dents in the trunkdeck and some deep scratches on the bumpers. I have two front fenders from a green 98 RS, as well as the pass. side moulding piece (along the door/qtr. panel) the sideskirt, and the corner turn signal lights. Car will need some bodywork and paint, new windshield (its had some rock chips that spidered out, but its not completely busted). The car had a bent control arm and tie rod, and I replaced the control arm, and have a new tie rod, but have not replaced it yet.
I've paid about $4500 for the car as it is, but the guy that was supposed to help me fix it up moved away, and I just don't have the heart or money to finish the project. I'm willing to take a loss just to make back some of what I've put in. I have some more pics, and I'll answer what I can, but I'm no mechanic, so I'll tell you what I know and be as honest as I can about the condition. Anybody from Chicago is more than welcome to check the car out any night of the week, or on weekends (preffered). I'll be happy to help out any potential buyer for shipping the car too (it can't be legally driven).
Asking $3500 but its negotiable. Car is located in suburban Chicago (Schaumburg). I need to get the car sold as soon as possible, so feel free to make an offer!! I'll even throw in a free timing belt to the potential buyer....
