Seriously! I feel like half duck, half race car driving around town in all this rain.

I've put on over 300km this weekend and only once broke traction... and there have been plenty of sudden hard braking incidents due to retards who drive in the rain without signals and so on.

That said, should I start considering getting new rubber for the winter? Guess I should probably pick up some winter rims too...

I was thinking the same thing this morning.
On a remote Port Kells backroad I took the liberty of doing a swedish flick, and was shocked to find the tires and diff doing all they could to keep me from sliding. Where my old 04' used to spin all 4 wheels while sliding sideways, the 06' sucks you back straight without incident.

It's kind of boring actually.

Yes, I wouldn't try these tires in the snow that's for sure.

My Pirelli Sotozero's should be here this week, just in time for Whistler opening

I just replaced my RE070s for Pirelli Nero M+S all-seasons. The RE070s, eventhough they were COMPLETELY done still gave good traction in the rain... at least until I would try and brake. :) The Pirellis definetly can't compare the RE070s but are definetely a safer choice for me given the amount of driving I do during the winter. I can't wait to get new R compounds for next summer! :)

How do you like the Pirelli Nero MS all seasons?

They rock! At least compared to the RE92's. I just got 4 Nero's to replace the Rockstones 2 weeks ago and I love them. Fairly quiet. Stiffer ride than the RE92's I think, and more precise handling.

Yeah, honestly I was expecting a hideously mushy, unpredictable feel after the RE070s but I'v been very pleased with them so far. They sliced through the non-stop rain we've had lately without any hesitation. Driving feels much more confident in this weather with these wheels.
