I had an 06 WRX wingless. I recentley swapped trunks so now I have an STi trunk with the wing with the integrated light. Does anyone know how to get the brake light wired up in the spoiler? Does anyone have pictures or installation tips to get it wired? thanks

My 06 was wingless at first too...then I drilled holes in the trunk! Inside the trunk, on the right hand side of the vertical carpet piece (where the jack is on the other side) is a small black connector. Pop the middle of this out and then pull the rest of the plug out. Carefully pull the liner back (it's only felt lined plastic, kinda cheap). Up near the trunk pivot point you will find a white connector attached to the side of the trunk. If you have the correct connector just plug it in and you're good to go. If your like me, and didn't have a connector, reach in between the outer body of the car and the inner trunk body to get to the back of the connector to release it. You can then pull it forward a little bit. If I recall correctly there is a white and a black wire and the black is negative.

Do you have the wire hanging from the wing or has it been cut???
