ok well maybe someone on here has experienced this...I've just about ran out of knowledge. the car isnt stock its gt30r with supporting mods. whenever the car gets into boost and starts holding...like when the wastegate should open.....there is a pretty loud very fast tick/hum. it almost sounds like tourque converter bolts hitting the dustcover of a car with an automatic trans...im sure some of you have heard that before. if i drive the car normal, no sound. i can take the rpms all the way to almost 7k and not get into boost and no noise. i checked the header, i thought it may be leaking, but its not. no leaks at or around turbo or wastegate, that i can see. i checked the shaft on the turbo and no play, it still holds boost fine and there is no noticable power loss...just that loud ass sound. what else should i check?
does the wastegate just get louder with time? i dont see why it would, it is recirculated into the dp.
