Hey guys..
Okay a few days ago, I got a CEL...i figured it was from a over boost, cause i was running my A map on my boost controller (17psi instead of normal tuned 15psi) for a few min... I turned it off after i was done... I normally get a CEL just for overboosting but it goes way when i turn off the boost controller and go back to 15psi.

But this time i never did...2 days now and its still there..

Im pulling into my house, and all a sudden, i get my brake light AND battery light, CEL is still there..

Also my power steering is gone, yet my power windows locks all that stuff works.

Ideas?

Okay guys , updates - I pulled my car into the garage popped the hood.

Something ate up one of my belts. Here are pictures.
I mentioned the boost thing, because i didn't know if maybe that was a cause. Maybe this is linked to the CEL i was getting before.

There is now no belts on 1 and 2 now... only 3 and 4.

I have no clue i was able to drive up the street when i started getting these CELs, if my alternator belt ripped.

I labeled the wheels visible in the bay, tell me if this is correct.
1. Alternator
2. Power steering?
3. No clue, brake...pump? (hence the brake light?)
4. Crankshaft? right?

you will also need (want) to get the belt replaced on your alternaton, or you will not make it very far.

Thanks a lot, Any idea how much the belt will cost? How available it is?
Think I can install it myself?

There is no belt on the alternator... 1 and 2 are without belts now.

Can someone please take a picture of there belts so i can see exactly what goes where?

Get it from you dealer. It seems like a pretty commom part, no reason why they should not carry it in stock. My guess for the cost is any where from $2X-$5X. You should be able to install it yourself, pretty straigh forward.

I can see that there is no belt there! That was my point.

The new belt you need to get will go around 1,2, & 4.

Make sure that the alternator and PS pump pullies spin freely without any roughness, noise or runout. It is not normal for the belts to shred like that, there may be a problem with one of the driven devices.
