Here's the deal. I'm going to need gauges for my RSTi. I want them to match the 04 STi cluster I am installing so I'm told to look into the Defi gauges. I currently have none. What do I NEED and what can wait? Boost, Fuel Pressure, etc.
Also, how difficult is the wiring process of these gauges for someone not advanced in wiring?
I have ~$750 - $1000 to play with but would like to reduce cost as much as possible.
My center pod I'm told only fits 52mm gauges as it is a GC8 bodystyle and the STi fits 60mm gauges. Anyone know where to buy the gauge plate for the center pod since I already own the pod housing itself.
Thanks!

the defi's are very nice but not worth the $$$ if you ask me. I would get an aem uego wideband and a boost gauge. The new greddy boost gauge is close to the sti cluster.

youd be surpised what the search button and faqs would do for you on such an issue. I would definitly spend the 1000 dollars on something other than gauges but if its what you want buy defi and a CF gauge cluster, basically best you can get just pricey

My main issue is finding what fits my model year. There are tons of products for 02+ WRX/STis but I'm trying to fit specific things into the guage housing of my RS.
I know what serching and faq's can do.

so you have a 3-pod 52mm? Get the 52mm greddy boost, aem uego, and greddy oil pressure. I have installed almost every gauge company out there. From amazing defi's to terrible autometer. I don't see the reason to spend $800 for defi's. They scream steal me, plus i don't think you can get the bf series in 52mm

Why not check into the MadDad guages? They're 52mm, and are Defi-like in appearance.

Thanks, I'll have a look at those.
What is the Optional Oil Pressure Sandwich Adapter?
Nevermind founf the answer;
easy of install. Otherwise you need to run a line from the galley plug(the sensor it too large for just plug an play into the gally plug) to the sensor and then mount/secure the sensor somewhere. Not a big deal for an installer though, but if you doing things yourself the sandwich can come in handy.
