I Just installed a Pro Sport EGT Gauge and I'm reading at WOT 5th gear 1650F. Should I be worried? I'm currently catless, perrin DP, Blitz Catback, Cobb STG 2. I tapped into the drivers side manifold.

I believe you're running at the threshold. Anything above that and you'll have problems.

What's your 5th gear cruise temps read?

Mine w/ same gauge and location and similar mods run around 1400, I haven't really had the time/place/need to run WOT in 5th (thankfully) so I can't give you a max temp. But if your cruising temps are reasonable then I don't see an issue. 1650 is pretty high but if its not sustained then there shouldn't be time for parts to start to heat up to the point of failure or damage.

Becuase I have a larger wing on my STi (and thus larger penis), your plebeian 06 WRX TR non STi can't touch the 1700F I see for up to 45 minutes at a time while racing.

Yer fine. (not in that... you're hot sort of way, but you should be ok with your heads, but not that head).

Coffee, more coffee!!!!

Those temps are fiiine.. I was seeing 1700 often and my car is still fine. I saw 1850 at one point.. with 4 people in my car with 4 snowboards up top, on a closed course uphill with a G35 sedan in my rear view mirror. =)

Sounds normal. I see about 1400 - 1450 while cruising. When going up a hill or on heavy load, I see 1700 or so max.

I see 1400-1450 cruzin at 70mph. On steep hills it gets close to 1500 and at WOT I see close to 1600. Nick
