Cliff notes - Mixed review, fair deal on trade/purchase, delivery problems, bad service with possible bad repair.

I purchased a 2006 Sti from them and got a fair deal + fair trade on a 2001 RS.

Delivery was terrible - they mixed up the plates and put my old plates on the new car. Took 2 visits to the dealer over a week to get the new plates and then another visit the next week to get the receipt for the old plates so I could cancel the insurance. Overall 2 weeks and 4 visits by me just to pick up the car + an extra month in insurance on the old car ($150?).

First Problem - the car was delivered with a scratch on the body trim above the rear wheel. They replaced the trim at the first service but then 2 months later I noticed a bigger gap between the bumper and the panels on that side. I checked and all the clip points on the bumper were broken including the one attaching the bumper to the part they replaced. This one had a self tapping screw put in that held the two together instead of the proper clip etc. The screw had backed out which was allowing the gap to increase.

On first inspection they suggested I take it to their body shop for a look to see if they could repair it. Body shop said they could but would not recommend it, but they had to do what subaru tells them to. This is when we found the self tapping screw that someone had put in to hold it all together. Went back to subaru and they swear they would not do a repair like this and maybe it was the tire shop that put the winter tires on. Checked with the tire shop just in case but I don't think so. They happened to break the trim on the same panel subaru worked on - not likely, but possible. Then I check the inside of the trim closely to see if there were any marks from the tire catching it and pulling the trim off - none.

Subaru called later that day to say they would not cover this and there was nothing they would do.

I can't say for sure who did the damage + bad repair but I stongly suspect subaru of wakefield.
