I remember at least one member asked if any of us has dealt with Shawn @ Auto Imaging and I told him that I'd tell him my experience after I have received my order. Shawn has posted in Vendor's forum couple of times selling some 5 Zigen rims. Here is the write-up:

Product order - BE 5 with Toyo tires combo. (mounted, all necessary hardware supplied)

Total time it took: placed ordered on 10/24, delivered to the door on 11/13. Shawn had to order these from Japan.

Service: Excellent. I was a little skeptial at first because I have bad taste in my mouth when I hear a vendor says "it's been shipped..." or ..."it will only be 1 extra week because they are coming from Japan and we don't have them in stock...". I needed to know if I need to jump on other GB's for 18" wheels.

This time, those were true statements from Shawn. Ming (I believe that's his name) there is also extremely helpful in providing me with order status all along. The set comes will all necessary hardware, all packed in a typical Japanese packaging - very nice! There were even 1 lug nut socket for each wheel. I received 4 sockets! And of course, all the lug nuts, shims (5 for each wheel) for between the wheel and hub.

Shawn and Ming were very nice and helpful guys to speak to and their pricings are very competitive. They might not know the Subaru's as well as other vendors who are specialized in Subaru's aftermarket product, but that doesn't hurt my rating for them at all in terms of customer service.

I have placed an order with Autoimaging and not recieved my product yet. Here is what has transpired so far. All communications were done by phone with Shingo unless noted.

Week 1 October 1st: Called Autoimaging and placed an order for a set of wheels/tires with Shingo. I was told these were IN STOCK and I would only need to wait for tires. He confirmed he has recieved my payment (bank check)

Week 2: Was told that tires have not arrived yet. Said that the wheels would be shipped at the end of the week.

Week 3: Told that wrong set of wheels were set to me. That they would ship out again at end of the week the correct set.

Week 4: Told that they have been shipped to me. He did not provide me with a tracking number when I requested it either via phone or email.

Week 5: Again was told they had been shipped. No tracking number provided again.

Week 6: This time I was told that the wheels have been lost by UPS. They were going to ship me another set out of their warehouse immediately. Also Talked to Shawn, Was told a Check for Shipping was going to be sent to me for the delay.

Week 7: Talked to Shawn. Reiteraited that a check was on my way. Said the wheels have been SHIPPED and gave me a UPS tracking Number. Number turned out to be INVALID.

It is November 19th now, Over 1.5 months I have been waiting for a set of wheels that I was told IN STOCK and I waited 2 weeks for a set of tires. I could have gotten tires 3 days from Tirerack. As of now I dont have my Wheels or a Tracking Number.

I will post again if and when this transaction is completed.

I was in a group buy for 5Zigen springs. They were shipped to me, then they didnt have any in stock and they were coming from Japan. Then they were shipped to me again. Then I was never responded to again. And I just sort of "went away".

Weird, really weird actually. They didn't care that I wanted to give them money for springs...

Sounds like you got the spring and didn't have to pay for it (?)

Let me clarify, all those "They have shipped" and stuff is what I was told, I never received them or heard from them again. Thats what I meant. No biggie, I didn't lose anything, just found it weird that they didn't seem to care about the sale.

I had a mixed buying relationship with autoimaging!
As Hwan said they're prices are extremely competitive. I order a set of 18" Dronnel TS05 wheels from them on 9/18!

They told me that the wheels were IN STOCK, which is one of the reasons why I decided to order at the time.

Two weeks went by and I still had not received my wheels and I was told that they were on their way!

Another week past and I had not gotten any respnse from Shawn of shingo so I decided to call AKT distributor headquarters myself!

Talked to AKT rep., who was handling the sale and he said that my wheel had NOT been shipped yet because they only had 3 wheels IN STOCK and they had to wait for the 4th.

Needless to say, I called Shawn and he explained the same thing to me, although they had told me they were in there way!

All in all, the price was way better than any other vendor, and the service was poor at times, throughout the deal, but I ended getting my rims about a month after order, when they told me 4-5 days!
Conclusion, I would order from them again, because there prices are damn good, but don't be surprised if you have to wait!

PS. Hkwan, I inquired about the Linea Be5 too, and I could not believe the unbelievably low price they quoted me, its blew away all other vendors, but my checkbook still couldn't swing it at the time! Oh yeah , if you order from them mention your an I-club member!!

well let me say this:
i don't know what has happened lately at auto imaging but close to a year ago i order a set of 5 Zigen wheels and they came promptly shawn even held on to them for a month till i could pony up the money. well i got the wheels and they had the wrong lugnuts to fit my car and 2 of the center caps were missing as well as a 2 valve stems.
e mailed and he said that they would be out. So a few days later i got my new lugnuts. (which were still the wrong type but i never bothered him about that again) The center caps and the valve stems came directly from AKT which set me the wrong ones...so 2weeks later i finally have all the parts i need (except for the lug nuts) which i went out and bought a nice set....which reminded me that i have a brand new set of dual locking lugnuts to sell...
but shawn never let me down in the customer calls looking for him department.....i would do business with him again but not buy rims...

well guys and gals. sorry to hear such terrible incidents at auto imaging.

all of you are right. their price is competitive.

you have to do what i did, travel 6 hours to see the rims and find out that they were closed. Shingo guy told me they were supposed to be open. I waited for another day for them to open just to find out that they don't install tires on their rims.

sounds like i'm upset writing this thread huh? not really, i just think that their staff needs to communicate a little bit more. that way things get done right.
