My friends WRB 04 Sti was stolen. Looks a little different than most i've seen in the area. It has a chargespeed front bumper that is cracked in the middle(from me hitting the curb whoops). It was stolen from Colorado Mills today November 28th sometime between 1pm and 7pm. Please pm me if you happen to see or hear anything. It has the stock gold bbs wheels, stock big spoiler, stock 04 other than the front bumper.

Thank you RMIC(ers)

Jesse

So a flatbed must have been used to steal it... unless someone else had a key. Like a ex-girlfriend, parents??? Just my impression.
There is a simple fix to keep your car where you parked it. But no one uses it.
It sucks, but could have been prevented!
Good luck,
Absubtle
PS- I will keep a look-out here, at work, Evans and I-25.

FYI! Recovered. Wrecked last night sometime on the 3200 block of Colfax, they didn't make it too far. Not sure about the damage but the cops called and said it's "drivable"

it seems like every few months a sti goes mia from colorado. I dont think i have heard of one getting stolen in utah or surrounding states.

The reasons I think there was a key involved was due to the immoblizer installed on STi's. There are ways of getting around it, but would have to be very skillful. Any recent dealer trips???

Honestly, I would rather keep it to a private situation on the ways to keep your car where you left it.
I am more than happy to answer PM's. I think it would be better than advertising, any info, to any thiefs-hiding-among-us. It's not a world-shattering-rebirth-of-thought...They are a couple, very simple things.
I dont mean to raise your expectations, but I have been doing it for, close to 8 years now. The ONLY cars stolen, using the methods I installed, were by a flatbed truck, and user error. It saved 2 of my personal cars in 8 years. Every car I own or have owned, have had this done. Sure I have lost radios, personal effects. BUT the Most important thing, is that the car is still there. You can always rebuild from there!

A long time ago, when I was turning 16, someone mentioned to me: A)pull ebrake, B)leave car in gear, and C)turn your steering wheel all the way in one direction and remove key and lock the wheel in place. And that would deter would-be thiefs away from trying to steal my car. I don't know if it really would in this day and age though.

The immobilizer isn't on 2004 STis, only 05+.
