will the accessport be enough to tune my built ej20 w a stroker kit from jun, and cobb head with jun 272 cams if i went for a gt40r turbo kit? or do i need to go something like a fully programmable ems like aem or hydra

The main thing you'll run into is the 300g/sec limit on the wrx ecu. You'd probably be better off with a speed density based standalone such as the autronic or the aem ems.

UTEC does SD as of the 5.8 update.

The AP will work with special tuning maps, no need to change.

the ap and EcuTeK use the OEM ECU so if tuned properly they can be made to pass OBDII scans by defeating certain DTC's (like missing 02 sensors, EGT sensors etc).

Standalones don't even use the ECU so no they will not pass an OBDII scan.

from what i hear speed density tuning is in the future of the APv2, but i'm not sure i would want to wait around for it if i was you... guess that depends on when you plan on doing your build and therefore when you will need the EMS.
