my search on the word STi only gave me 22 separate posts on the STi coming here.. so i dont think its been covered enough..

My brother read that Mitsu is planning to release the Evo VII, probably not to get out done by Subaru. Let the battle begin!

about two days ago i read it in a magazine at the bookstore. i was reading and they said it produces 375 lb ft torque!!!! i looked at it twice and flipped the page to the specs. 275 lb ft torque was the real deal ah haha

The most recent issue of Autoweek (April 9,2001 page 3) states that Mitsu officials has no plans to import the high-performance Evolution VII version of the Lancer to the USA, but that may not be the final word.

The next generation Lancer will be unveiled at the upcoming NY Auto show, which may show what is in store for future US plans.

So for MY 2002 Lancer, the US get fwd with 125 hp.

Bottom line: no guarantee of a Evo VII in the near future, but maybe later.
