Hi guys,

Just needed some advice or feedback regarding My axis Motor that ive imported from the states to South Africa.

I have had a new axis motor installed in my WRX in july this year with a VF22 turbo, the car was runin for about 5000km (3125miles) before it was tuned and the boost picked up to about 1.5 bar boost(not sure in PSI). First i thought it was the turbo seals that were gone, hence the oil comsumption, so i put the std td04 turbo back on, however the oil consumption is still very heavy, its on average 1 pint(450ml) for every 200km or so(125 miles).

I have used a thicker oil at first for about 1300km(812km) to bed the rings in before moving to a fully synthetic oils : 10w-60 spec.

the car when cold or just started up is giving off a blueish to white smoke! and sort of neutralises once warm.

Any thoughts on this, is it still possible for the rings and bearings, still not bed-in after around 12000km(7500 miles)?

Not sure what to do in this case, i doubt that the bores have been glazed caus std run-in proceedures were followed as well as i do boost it every secon or third day, so the pistons (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1147784&highlight=axis+motor#) are not lazy.

Please provide feedback if any on this.

thanks regards
