That is all. dibblejr 12-08-2006, 11:05 PM Be very carefull to ensure you follow the directions. Go in 1 direction only or the deep swirl monster will get you. Jay-R Frozen Sti 12-08-2006, 11:08 PM Never never never use a dropped clay bar. Be very careful with it. Ryan314 12-08-2006, 11:13 PM ^^ Yes, drop it, throw it out. Don't try to clean it, it's garbage. Make sure you use enough detail spray when you use the clay. Do a 1 foot section at a time, and apply light to moderate pressure. If you don't spray enough, the clay will drag across the paint and can marr your finish or just leave nasty clay residue. If you have the time, clay with quick detail spray. But, if you want to just give your car a quick clay job, do it with car wash soap after you wash your car. holland_patrick 12-08-2006, 11:21 PM Cut the clay in to three peices... use the car wash.. a new bucket.. have fun and swirl removal is next shemoves 12-08-2006, 11:21 PM keep the surface slick bigboy 12-08-2006, 11:47 PM I hate you. I was wondering what I should mask off when putting the wax on afterwards? Let me know please... thanks guys. http://www.meguiars.com/video/ watch the video clips what i always do is go through all the steps 1. clay 2. paint cleaner 3. polish 4. wax = show car paint :) docd18712 12-09-2006, 02:05 AM After washing the car I like to leave it wet. Then I spray some lube on the area I'll be working on and rub the clay gently back and forth and repeat the process until you finish the car. Always use a good amount of the lubricant and if you drop the clay bar DO NOT use it on your paint again, you can save it for your rims or windshield though. DimSum22 12-11-2006, 04:02 AM Fold the bar often and make sure your hands are clean. Even grabbing for the hose to rinse off a portion of the car will put grit into the bar and make beautiful 'Grand Canyons' in your paint. Ukezu 12-11-2006, 05:02 PM After you clay a panel, make sure it is nice and dry. After it is dry, put your hand in a ziplock back and rub the paint slowly and lightly. With your hand in the bag, you can feel any spots that you have missed. :D Mayor McCheese 12-11-2006, 05:57 PM Very detailed info for you. http://autopia.org/forum/guide-detailing/80231-detailing-clay-pre-wax-cleaning.html |
