I'm trying to improve my "anti clunk" during on/off acceleration. But I have to make my choice as far as NVH goes. Can you guys give me a comparison evaluation of each bushing:
Bushing: anticlunk N V H (% added)
enging mount ? ? ? ?
tranny mount ? ? ? ?
rear diff mnt ? ? ? ?
rear outrigger ? ? ? ?
stock (normalized) 0% 0% 0% 0%

engine + tranny mounts + rear outrigger didn't really add any nvh for me.
look into the whiteline rear diff locking bolts too. Helps get rid of some of the slack in the drivetrain...cheap and easy mod

When I did the Outrigger bushings first, I noticed a LOT of extra rear end vibration...especially at about 65-70 under acceleration.
Then I put the Rear Diff mount bushings in a few days later, and it took all the noise and vibration away. MAYBE it is a touch louder than stock, but I do not notice it if that is true. I would have to do an A/B comparision
I have the Turn In Concepts Clunk Killer (Race) (http://turninconcepts10.chainreactionweb.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_9_7_20&products_id=24&osCsid=37b2d7ecc193eb4ab81342dfb1a5a63f) bushing set. They are a good place to get busgins n stuff from. I also have the Whiteline Diff Lock bolts, but I have not used them yet. I did not feel I needed them after all the bushings, but I will try them eventually.
I also have a hardened Tranny Mount, Tranny Crossmember bushings, front and rear shifter stay and pivot bushings, steering rack bushings ect. For me, they ALL made a noticeable different for the posative, and were well worth the time and money.

Rear diff bushings (TIC "Race" versions) are the only ones I've done on my '06 2.5i. There's a definite change in the sound of the engine, more of a howling sound on accel, and a slight whine on decel in certain situations. Not very noticable to other people sitting in my car, nobody's commented on it yet and gf had to strain to hear it after I pointed it out, did not notice at all before I did that. My friend who helped me install it and me both noticed it right away, but it really is rather subtle, and makes the car sound more aggressive.
Removed a significant amount of low-throttle and throttle-lift rocking motions, still quite a bit left tho.
