Good day.
I just bought an aps SR30, a walbro 342 255lph pump, an aps 3.0" TBE, an XSTURBO TMIC, Silicone Hoses, Y-pipe. Stock 05 wrx injectors running at a base pressure of 68psi ~ 550cc at that pressure. I have an UP and an AVO 15 psi wastegate. I'm installing all this tuff over the next month down in Arizona then I plan on driving back to Saskatoon. Will the Stage 2.5 map limp me 3000 km home or should I go to a tuner. I'd like to use the AP to switch to a fuel efficent map for the long drive home. Eventually, through the spring I will be learning to tune the car by myself. I want to eventually run 19 psi. I have a good background for tuning and I've read most of the stickies on this forum. Any recomendations for my commssioning of this beast? Is it reasonable to run the 2.5 map for 3000 km? Thanks.

you should be fine as long as you take it easy. I would run the highest map u have and forget about fuel savings. Good luck.

get it tuned.

400 bucks on a tune is better than a blown engine.

not saying that you'll blow your engine, but it's 400 dollars (or so) worth of insurance.

You will not blow the engine if you stay out of boost, or even very little boost, less than 5psi.
You will be perfectly fine on a long trip with no boost.

Tunes between cars generally, in most circumstances, have the exact same closed loop and cruising target A/F's for normal everyday driving.
