With grad school plans, work, and a move, I can no longer keep my karting setup. The HPV class is a very popular class for socal, so there are no lack of competitors and friendly advice/help at the tracks. In terms of maintenace, it's perhaps the easiest motor to work on. Clutch once a season (if that), carbs once every other race ($15 kit), easy on tires. It's one of those spray some chain lube and drive classes. Since it's a spec motor, you don't have to worry about the big spenders outpowering your w/ $$s.
