Okay, this isn't for a Subaru but I don't know where else to put it. What disadvantages would running a non-divided manifold into a divided turbine housing be? Besides the obvious lack of evening of the pulses. Would it be ok to remove the housing and grind off the division?
I don't see why not...but you'd get a regular inlet turbo will cost a lot less to buy then one thats divided.

Not true on the price. This is a used Holset H1E, which I believe is always divided. Got it for a song.
And upon inspection, it appears the division travels all the way into the housing. So I can only grind off some of the division near the inlet.

It won't be as efficient as a single scroll turbo. Lots of turbulence and crap.
