I really need some tires soon, my stock re070's are nearly dead. they are so hard and they are at the wear bars. I am really sick of how hard they are on the street and I don't open track anymore so I dont need super max performance.

I am looking for a tire that handles wet/dry well but also doesnt have much road noise. My sway bars and suspension already creak to high heaven.

I do not have the budget to step up to anything like the GSd3.

If not these two tires, what would you recommend in stock tire sizes.

225/45/17?
thanks
chris

Falken ST115's.

I've never know the SPT's to be that quiet, and teh ZRi's got noisey for my brother not too far into their life.

I bought SPT's for my wife's Protege last year. They were quiet through the first 10K miles when I took them off this fall (winter tires).

ppl say the falkens have a 360TW but they are getting almost no life out of them.

any other contenders to the crown?

You must be looking at the wrong Falkens. The ST115's lasted FOREVER on my previous car (as well as many others around here).

The 451/2, 215, and 615 will be significantly shorter.

Heck, I got 30k from a set of 451's, the 115's are good at least to 40+

The FK452's replaced both the FK451's & the ST115's. Get the FK452 and you should be happy with the life of those tires (and people seem to really like their performance capabilities as well).

The 451's were SOFT and STICKY. Like RT215 soft, but with a more wet frinedly tread pattern. If the 452's are supposed to be at least as grippy, they certainly won't last near what the 115's do.
