I need to get some new tires. Ive been searching for a while and Im thinking about the RE960 Pole Positions which i can get mounted and balanced for 510+tax. But if i can get another tire with the same kind of performance but cheaper that would be great. Anyone have anysuggestions?

where do you live, i.e. do you see snow and do you really need all-season tires?
if so, then the RE960PP has the best tested wet performance of all the A/S tires TireRack sells. Both the Yokohama Advan S.4 and the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S will outperform it in the dry, however
if you don't really need A/S tires, there are several summer tires that will outperform ANY A/S wet or dry and probably still meet your budget criteria. You don't say what size tires you need, however, nor what car they're going on, nor what type of driving you do, etc. etc. etc...

There are a few people including myself that have just purchased the 960 Pole Position so I'm sure there will be a review or two coming shortly if you can wait.
In the mean time read the tire reviews on Tire Rack and put together a list of what you’re interested in, and fall within your budget. Once your done PM or call Luke at Tire Rack and he can help you make the best choice based on what you want and what you can afford. Great guy to work with and great service from a supporting vendor of NASIOC.
