I am currently interested in buying a set of G games wolf 77 for my 05 STi. They come in 2 sizes that i am interested in. One size is 18 x 7.5 w/ a 50 offset and another size is 18 x 8 w/ a 42 offset. Which one of these will result in better fitment? I have megan racing coilovers currently, on 235/45/17 proxies 4. Would one have a problem clearing the brembos and/or sticking out too much? Thanks for your time and responses in advance.

Assume you mean 77W_V, since the 77W does not come in 18x8. If that's true, then 18x7.5 ET50 is the only one of the two you mentioned that fits over the Brembos according to this (offset column C):

The 77w is good looking but since they are cast and not the great forged wheels for which Ray's is famous - I'd get 5Zigen FN01R-C that would fit 18x8.5 +48 would do the trick

I have the GN+ and have been pleased with them

i believe only the 18x8 +42 and 18x8.5 +42 will fit over the brembos. i'd go with 18x8.5 +42.
