View Full Version : FS: Whiteline Group 4 coilovers (05 STi+) and Rear Group-N hats
ruski 12-15-2006, 02:50 PM !!!!These HAVE TO GO, Price reduced to $1000 plus shipping!!!!
I have a set of Whiteline Group 4 coilovers(05 STi+) for sale and rear Group-N hats. The coilovers have about 10,000 miles on them, and the Group N rear hats have about 4,000 miles on them. Function wise the G4s are in 100% perfect condition, though a couple of the springs have a little paint chipping but thats expected on a part that sits outside of the car.
They are the absolute perfect daily driver coilover. With the adjustable dampning they range from very comfertable to very stiff. They are even great for track work.
I am selling them as I am moving toward making my car a dedicated track car and need a coilover where I can swap in very heavy duty spring rates. (i.e. A full cage is going in as you read this, and the G4s are primarly a street coilover with light to medium track day use in mind.)
5kg\mm front spring and 4kg\mm rear springs for the G4s.
$1000 for the Whiteline Group 4 coilovers !!!!!Price reduced from $1600!!!!!
SOLD tophats pending pickup 12/20/06
The price does not include shipping. I live in San Francisco, CA so if you are near by we can arange a meeting place.
******As of Friday, Dec 15th the coilovers and top hats are still on the car. As I had to rush the car out to get the cage put in I was unable to take them off. The earliest I can take them off will be the 26th of Dec. I am putting this up as it usually takes a little time to get these sales going anyways.******
Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions.
Evan

sekretskwirl 01-31-2007, 01:53 AM SO how do these feel on real bumpy roads...you know real world stuff..be honest. AND who does revalves for these if they're not making them anymore?thanks Danielle:banana:
candyman 01-31-2007, 02:17 AM If I may speak for the seller... these things feel amazing AND handle! These coilovers were definitely a case were you got what you paid for.
Any Whiteline dealer or Whiteline service center could re-valve these for you -if they needed it. Or any suspension tuner that honestly knows how to re-valve a strut propperly.
They're built like tanks. I had 300lb eibachs on a Ground Control System before and those were super harsh with KYB AGX adjustable struts. G4's are simply refined. For those who daily drive and like to have some fun on a serious mountain road or even a full out track day will appreciate these coilovers. They're not about slammin' low. They're about solid performance.
With the right sway bar combo and some Sti Grp N top hats you would not have any buyer's remorse over these coilovers.
If you ever needed a component of the strut or even needed to replace the springs (or move up in spring rates and have your struts revalved to match) Whiteline would more than likely be able to take care of you.
Keep in mind he's selling a set for an 05 STI and it looks like you own an 02 WRX... That won't quite work in that case...
Arnie 01-31-2007, 02:57 AM Hey there! I do the North American Group 4 servicing for Whiteline. So as long as the parts are available through Whiteline I will be able to service them. As it is, I have pretty decent stock of the basic things I need for rebuilds. In addition I have enough shims for 2 more sets of Race Spec valving (uses 9/8k springs) and can get more if there is demand.
I've been pretty impressed with the performance of these coilovers as well. The valving and spring rate choice for the Circuit Spec (the item being sold) is perfect for the daily driver and folks who do their canyon carving on less than glass smooth roads. The canyons where I live are fairly old, with very roughly surfaced tarmac, frost heaves and cracks. These handle those road imperfections with aplomb. Controlled but supple is how I would describe them. Candyman can attest to the road leading up to my house. smooth it is not. However, these are not a gravel/rally coilover. they are designed for a lower than stock ride height. using these coilovers at stock or higher ride heights off road (through ruts) can cause the seals to fail if when the strut is overextended in its travel and see extreme lateral forces. Also, like most coilovers there are certain kinds of bumps that will never feel like a stock setup. Expansion joint "dropoffs", for example. On some of those, you do get the feeling that the car, "drops" down onto the road, rather than floating above it. So hold onto your starbucks! Its simply a function of the tighter rebound and the car following more closely to the road than with a stock suspension.
Ruski - if you are interested in simply doing a revalve to Race Spec, let me know.
candyman 01-31-2007, 03:11 AM Ooooo "aplomb".
Somebody buy this guys struts, you'll love 'em!
OR Ruski, keep 'em and have Arnie work his magic on them! :D
ruski 01-31-2007, 01:28 PM SO how do these feel on real bumpy roads...you know real world stuff..be honest. AND who does revalves for these if they're not making them anymore?thanks Danielle:banana:
Yes, and Candyman and Arnie have said these coilovers feel great on bumpy/rough roads. On the softer settings it feels much better than the stock STi suspension and on the harder settings it becomes much firmer but still forgiving. As a daily driver coilover you could not choose better. For light to medium track duty they are great as well. My car is moving toward being a full race car with racing in mind, so I needed something more race oriented.
If you or anyone has any questions please do no hesitate to ask.

Arnie, I was highly considering revalving these, but I decided with the money I received from selling these and knocking out a few months of race funds I could purchase a coilover that would better fit my needs
