I got a 1998 Legacy 2.5GT Wagon just recently, and it has American Racing wheels on it. 16", no idea other than that, though looking on their website, it looks like these wheels have an offset of 35?

Any idea how strong these wheels are? I like to drive offroad from time to time, and I don't want to crack a wheel. :(

A few pics available at http://biyofan.joeyteel.com/LegacyGT

They're huge pics.

Looks to me like they're Series 95 (http://www.americanracing.com/appguide/fifth.asp?section=app&year=1998&make=SUBARU&model=LEGACY%2COUTBACK&style=95&id=864), which AR lists as 16x7" +40mm.

American Racing makes good wheels. I'd be less worried about the strength of the wheels and more worried about the fact that offset isn't very good for a Subaru.

Oh, and gotta love used car dealers that list "new tires" as an advertising point, but then put the cheapest crap tires they can find on the car. Zexius Xi 326?

Yeah, the offset has me worried too. I may have found a set of WRX wheels with snow tires local, those will be going on my car quickly if they're still available.
