Any one into astronomy and telescopes? Everything I've read on the net says not to buy any telescope from big box/department stores. Any advice for picking up something for a beginner?

TheToby 12-16-2006, 09:07 PM I would probably agree with that, i dont have any first hand experience here, but when my family bought a telescope in the UK we went to a specialist store.
