My question is...I am having a new "short" block installed by Subaru (warranty work) I am at stage 2 (up/down,intake and exhaust) and I am a little worrried they might have an issue when putting everything back together. I don't know if it's going to go into "test mode" or some "anti-theft" mode. I don't want them having issues getting it to run...Should I be worried????

what basemap did you have installed? Most people dont install antitheft, or crippled maps as base maps (as cobb recommends against it anyway).

I'm guessing if you are at stage 2, they'll likely know it already, and you should just cruize in with your AP.

If they are infact replacing ecu with motor, the problem kinda eliminated itself (aside from potentially being married to old ecu)

i would unmarry the accessport to prevent them from accidently erasing your license. IIRC if subaru reflashes your ECU for whatever reason and you have an AP or EcuTeK license you will lose it.

Revert to stock, which unmarries the AP, then when you get the car back remarry it.

I have the stage 2 93 map, nothing special. I never installed any of the other maps (anti-theft) I don't know about ecu with motor. I know my "short" block is being replaced. I will call and find out about the ecu.

I'm sure they know about my AP but that didn't cause my issue.

Hondaeater,

The car is at the dealer, can I just plug the battery terminals up and unmarry it????

if you have access to the car, you basically plug in ecu and green test mode connctors, then "return to stock" on the lcd interface.

It'll take a while as its basically flashing a rom back onto the ecu, as soon as its done, your free to recieve flashes etc etc etc.
