I'm looking to buy a Nintendo Wii for a reasonable price. Junior can wait, but it would be nice to have it under the tree for him if I can find one. Let's see what you got. Local pickup only. Thanks

Or just go to the store. I've heard that there are plenty of stores with them on the shelves. I haven't verified though because I'm not in the market.

I just have to say, they looked kinda corny like they might not work all that well... a friend had one at a holiday party over the weekend, and its one of the funnest video game things I've ever played!!! I'm certainly going to try to get one next week!

There are 0 in stores. Trust me =P

I camped out for one two nights ago and there was 80+ people in line for 21 wii's. I got mine and <3 it.

I check every few days and have yet to see a store with them in stock in the Alderwood area. Some places, like Toys R Us, have a ton of *boxes* though...

On Craigslist, most Wiis have $150+ markups. I'd buy one if it's close and $50 or less markup. =)

What worked for me was to watch the local Fred Meyer stores. I know of several stores that take Mon/Wed/Fri deliveries. But a Fred Meyer very near me is on a Tue/Thu/Sat schedule. It was easy enough to find out when the "regular" FM's got their Wii's in ... and then bright & early the next morning I showed up at the FM near me and walked out with one of the 18 Wii's they got in that shipment :D.

So it's doable, but takes some legwork and research.

On Craigslist, most Wiis have $150+ markups. I'd buy one if it's close and $50 or less markup. =) $150 is about as good as you're going to get this close to Christmas. I sold mine on eBay for $525 .

I finally got a Wii over the weekend going to Target at 3am.. Yesterday, Sunday, is to be the last shipment of Wii's for the year. Anyways this (http://ps3seeker.com/wii/) should help you find one around your area but will probably be marked up. Good luck, your kid will love it.

Don't forget to check Sears. They get a large amount of systems and people never think of looking there.

Tried that a few times, they told me that their video game departments sell so little that they're low on the totem pole for getting systems.

I don't have to get one before Christmas, so it's more of a challenge to get a decent deal. I'm hoping that market will soften soon and the sellers will take what they can instead of having to return them. I was the first one at Fred Meyer today, but they didn't get any deliveries last night. I'll give it another try Wednesday morning. We'll see....

FM only got three of them. I heard there were people lined up at 4:00am and I don't think they got one because they opened the other door first.
