i just ordered the V2.0. i have a very basic question. i don want any smart answers cuz im askin cuz i dont know. How does it work? As in, i should get it within 2 days, and do i open up the box, plug it in, and im set? cuz i know where it connects and i heard the engine has to be on. what is the CD for? do i hafta install or set it up with my comp first or do i open it up right away, plug it in, and set it to stage 2? What do you do?

in the past anyway, the software for the pc was typically for loading maps on/off of the accessport device, however its always a smart idea to ensure the latest maps are on the device anyway (for safest tune).

If you've never used the AP1.0, I'd highly recommend reading the userguide... there still are places the ap could fail if cable falls otu etc and all those precautions are in user guide.

Also, finding green testmode connectors isnt the easiest thing to describe, but layed out well in the manual.
