For those of you that haven't experienced a TDC program on your Accessport, you should really check it out. I have a 2005 Outback XT 5-speed manual, and the tune really wakes it up. Lag is almost non-existent and the car pulls like a strong 6-cylinder. Strong power band in all gears and at all revs above 1800 or so.
Great stuff.

How badly do these tuners beat on your car during the process?

There's no beating on the cars. You are strapped onto a 4 wheel dyno and he performs a number of 3rd gear pulls (assuming you have a 5speed, not 6).
Each pull allows the tuner to make changes to timing, air-fuel, boost, etc. In the end you get a well massaged tune where all of your performance mods are working together with the ECU. The end result is amazing.
+1 TDC Pro Tuned Stage 4 (I guess you could call it that)
