I have a custom built turbo for my 2.5 rs impreza. Last night when i was driving and came to a stop, my check engine light came on. My check engine light comes on every so often due to a slow o2 sensor read, so thinking it was just a sensor problem, i start to drive after the light turns green.i notice something different right away as the car struggles up the hill. something is not right now, as it seems to me that im losing pressure and its causing my car to lag. i pull over pop the hood open and notice two shots of steam come right out of my turbo. im thinking what the hell, since im not a turbo guy. i happened to have my ob2 reader so i scanned the car and it came up with the code "p1325" and looked it in the book and it doesnt have a code for that number. scratching my head, i decided to turn around and go back home to put the car away. as im driving it feels fine, but as speed picks up to about 70-80km's. i start to feel the struggle as though there is not boost as i step of the throttle.


so as i said up there, im not a turbo guy and im clueless to say what has happend, im just trying to explain what happened to my best knowledge. If any of you guys can help give me a idea on where to start looking for the problem, i'll really appreciate it. Thanks!

Steam out of the turbo? Are you sure it's not burning oil?
What's coming out of the tailpipe?
My best guess is headgasket blown. Could be bad turbo oil seals. Aftermarket turbos often fry pistons.
What EM do you have?
