I know of the spots behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels that only jack up that corner of the car. However, I'd like to find a spot that jacks up the entire front end or the entire rear end.
Anyone have any pics of where I can do this?

Ive never jacked up the whole front. I use the rear diff. to do the whole back of the car, its real easy.

you might have to use two jacks for the front

I have an '04 WRX sedan. I guess I've heard on other cars, like the TSX, there are spots right under the engine where you can jack it up which lifts the entire front end off the ground.
Tough luck for me I guess...

There's a front jackplate under the engine and the rear differential is good for, well, the rear. :)
[i still prefer using the frame behind the front wheels for the front though]

Shot in the dark, but anyone have a good pic of the front jack plate? Peaty's tutorial has a good shot but I guess I can't tell exactly where it is (plus his shot was off his Forester). I guess if I get under the car it'll become more obvious.
The rear diff shouldn't be a problem to find :)
Thanks!

the front jack plate is where the rear of the splash guard bolts into.

I thought there was something right in the middle under the engine that can lift up the entire front end? I think some have also referred to it as the front crossmember??? I dunno...

the front jack place IS in the middle under the engine and you can lift up the entire front end of the car with it... what else are you looking for?

Look under your car. Look at the aft-most place the plastic skid plate connects, there are two bolts there. Directly aft of that is a metal plate, that's what you're looking for.

Peaty's thread has pictures and even though the pictures are of a Forester, things look remarkably similar on the Impreza.
