djerickd 12-26-2006, 11:29 AM That's a REALLY nice kit! :)
Performance Driven 12-26-2006, 05:15 PM Hey some of those items look really familiar!!! ;) :D
That is an awesome deal for a great setup!!!

xdrian 12-26-2006, 06:56 PM wow, great setup, and its really nice because of the failsafes.
djerickd 12-31-2006, 03:56 AM bump for URD!
The owner drives a blown/meth injected 800hp Toyota SUV! He was telling me how he has raced modded STi's and initially they will start to walk away from a roll as he is spooling but, when his boost peak hits the truck will just barrell past and pull away like nobodys business
Zornorph 12-31-2006, 12:16 PM Ordered!!!!
Richard, Which nozzle to use on green powered sti?
also, can this pump be rear mounted or still best to use priming pump?
djerickd 12-31-2006, 12:42 PM It's actually reccomended to be mounted in the trunk:

Zornorph 12-31-2006, 03:40 PM ^^tHANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! That will make it so very simple to integrate to my current system.
The URD people say "3 nozzles your choice" - any idea wich are offered/required for STi with 20G/Green?
ShaggyGT 01-01-2007, 01:20 PM .8 will work fine for your setup
ULTIMATE CC 01-01-2007, 01:36 PM nice...
Zornorph 01-01-2007, 01:47 PM ^ thanks shaggy
djerickd 01-01-2007, 02:40 PM Aren't you supposed to run TWO jets with this one Richard?
Also BTW, URD said they were doing a big write-up on the install steps to make it easy for people to DIY...

PM your email and I'll send back how to use your IC spray system as a priming pump

It's still a single jet system, but you could add a line off the T to spray your IC ;)

Uh oh, maybe we really do need an instruction manual for this system
I was instructed to run 2. The Hydramist (same system without the FIA2) instructions say to run 2:
.8 and .9 for sub 350hp
.9 and 1.0 for 350+hp.
but, let's wait to see what Richard or URD has to say.

also speaking of this, I know there has got to be a way to have the DDS3 trigger my TMIC spray setup. I have to review the wiring diagram but can the DDS3 trigger that directly off the PC board? Or, maybe I can just tap off the 12v+ going to the Shurflo so when it pumps my intercooler sprayer pumps as well? Or is that a bad idea?
El Gato 01-02-2007, 01:06 PM I run the .9 and 1.0 as recommended by Element Tunning.
Zornorph 01-02-2007, 01:18 PM Ok you guys are scaring me - no instruction manual? I hope someone has definitive answers to these one jet/two jet, prining pump/no priming pump questions.
Looking forward to recieving it!
djerickd 01-02-2007, 02:25 PM There are instructions for the DDS3 and a wiring diagram that's really about all you need, some of the application specific stuff for WRX/STi have to be worked out here as this is a universal system, hell...URD specializes in boosted TRUCKS!!!
If you need help Richard L or myself or any of the others here can help.
I have 2 jets going a .8 and .9 but have yet to get it tuned. I'm NOT running a priming pump my Shurflo sucks water straight from the resivoir.
Zornorph 01-02-2007, 02:46 PM ^^ thanks for the info - I currently have a shurflo right next to my spec c tank pushing to the front. Is this ok or should the pump be un the engine bay? The system stays pressurized all the time, right?
djerickd 01-02-2007, 03:10 PM Reccomend trunk mount the pump to keep it out of the heat as it has an automatic cut-out at above 80C IIRC.
Mine will pressurize when I prime my fuel pump with the key but will continue to run till I actually start the engine. I know it's not spraying into the motor because the HSV should be locked closed till it senses fuel flow from the FIA2. I also tested this by removing the 6mm going to the HSV when it was doing this, and it blew off spraying water at 150 psi everywhere. It will stop running once I turn the engine on (not really sure if this is supposed to happen) I think the FIA doesn't get an injector signal at first but, the DDS3 assumes it needs to spray. I need to work this out with Richard on what the normal operation is supposed to be, but it's a minor issue.
EDIT: If this happens to you you have it hooked up wrong. I've got it fixed now!

pm me you email address, I can send you a generic wiring diagram. URD is putting up a very compreshensive user manual as I am typing this. #
The pump is is designed for trunk mounting. The number of jets used will depend on your power level and water/methanol ratio.
djerickd has a very smilar Aquamist system (HFS-5 -new for 2007) as URD, he can help you a long way as he has started his installation much earilier before the URD system was launched.
ShaggyGT 01-02-2007, 10:52 PM On most of the Aquamist 2d systems we have installed we use just one .8 jet. That is with the original ERL pump system. I cant imagine needing more than 1 for most setups. For your larger rotated turbo setups then I could see running 2 jets, but not for most of the stock location turbo setups.
I will say that with the Shurflo Aquamist pump setup we have running the Aquamist prototype spray bar all 5 jets on the bar spray evenly and flow plenty. Richard should have videos and pictures of our setup to post very soon.

Aquamist 01-03-2007, 10:41 AM Shaun,
Did you sent the HFS-5.pdf version to him?
If not I can send you a copy to keep. Let me have your email address.
Richard
Performance Driven 01-03-2007, 01:35 PM Richard,
I sent him the ics+fia2.pdf file
You have something new?
-Shaun
djerickd 01-03-2007, 01:36 PM I've got one called "HFS-5.pdf' I can also send if you give me your e-mail addy.
Aquamist 01-03-2007, 02:20 PM We are about to offer the Shurflo-2d with DDS3 bundled. I will email the pdf to you.
Richard,

Zornorph 01-03-2007, 10:49 PM So according to the File from Richard, the pump is mounted at the rear, and I therefore imagine the primer pump setup is unnecessary (although VERy elegant - nicely done!)
-Correct?
power level is 350-380 with 50/50
Zornorph 01-03-2007, 10:58 PM You guys are quite a pair - I see now why everyone is so very impressed with your responsiveness and customer care.
Aquamist 01-04-2007, 03:44 AM So according to the File from Richard, the pump is mounted at the rear, and I therefore imagine the primer pump setup is unnecessary (although VERy elegant - nicely done!)

Correct, no need for the priming pump if the water pump is below the tank.
