Do you have any modifications?

Considering stock STIs usually go 13+, those are very good times if you have minimal modifications. With that trap speed I'm guessing you have at least a TBE, a reflash, and maybe were using methanol injection or race gas. Am I off?

what a poorly created post...

Whats the point? What do stock WRX's run? What do ALL WRX's run?

What was this thread for again?

I have an 06 TR, last time I was at the track I was at cobb stage 1 and ran 14.0 @ 98 MPH, and 14.2 @ 96 MPH Stock. I know those times could be 13.7 and 13.5 maybe. Now I'm stage two and have the streettuner so I'm expecting low 13's with a perfect super-amazing-driver at 30 degree track temperature run. The MPH in the OP seem to be in the ballpark for a maxxed out TD04 but the times are ****ing bull****.

You're full of ****, and I beat the lock.

Edit: And when you post up in a few minutes telling me about your ported turbo with a wet shot maybe i'll believe you.

I certainly don't doubt the times...

But you're definately running pretty lean....hope it holds together...

Again, if a 2.0l on an MBC and a TBE can do 13.1...the 06+'s out of the hole alone should be able to cut a 12.9.

But again, you're running those traps because you've really leaned that motor out.

I'd be mixing in a couple gallons of 100+ for the strip passes (edit: which I see you do). Try and stay off the MBC on the street...the ol/cl will kill you.

I'd love to feel the 1st and 2nd gear hit in the 2.5l on the BC though....thats the one thing i miss about running an MBC...

When you get tuned, make sure they leave the insta-boost-device in place... If you don't, you'll wind up making more power, but running slower times...

Agreed. Without a tune, that's the only real benefit he'll see from that racing gas (probably the sole reason his engine hasn't failed yet).

My orignal thread is here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=979781

Temp: 55 deg F (at time of 1st run), 60 deg F (at time of my 2nd run)
Relative Humidity: 24 %
Barometer: 30.14 in. Hg
Dewpoint: 20°F (-7°C)
Elevation: ~100ft above sea level

Car is 100% bone stock w/ 6,800 miles on the odometer - nothing from the intake, intake resonator, turbo, intercooler, exhaust, engine management, etc has been changed. I used Shell 93 octane gas w/ just over a 1/4 tank. Tire pressures were set at 40psi all around. Only weight reduction I did was remove my spare tire (left jack in the trunk). I weigh 170lbs.

Launched at 5,000rpms.

I'm car #22:

Run 1 (I bogged the launch)
60ft: 2.0688
330ft: 5.8446
1/8th: 8.9866
MPH: 79.44
1/4: 13.9679
MPH: 98.53

Run 2 (decent launch)
60ft: 1.9433
330ft: 5.6327
1/8th: 8.7650
MPH: 79.31
1/4: 13.7468
MPH: 98.25

LOL! Yeah, those times are still the fastest confirmed 1/4 mile times by a stock '06 WRX on Nasioc, Clubwrx and I-Club. One person in an '06 WRX wagon went 13.89@96mph bone stock IIRC.

Yeah, I've been drag racing for a few years and I'm an avid autoXer as well. The times are legit, I'm pretty sure I don't have a 'ringer' as an equally good driver in my SCCA Club has actually run a faster 1/8th mile than me in his '06 WRX (he ran an 8.6@78mph).

There was a guy who had a slip, claiming to be stock early on with an 06 that went 100 and 13.6 or 7 IIRC.

I'll try to find the thread...

EDIT: Nevermind, it was a 13.8 but at 100.6 (with his GF in the car...)

Wife and I have gone twice in our stock 06 WRX (I haven't been since 2002). Seems its a bit low in the traps compared to some of you guys. I think I am shifting too late and I need to get my launch down right.

Most runs are in the 14.0-14.2 range. Always bogging on the launch.
