A good kit can really help you make power safely after you are tuned for it. The price really varies on the kit and who is doing the install. I don't want be mean but a little reading would go a long into understanding how these systems work.

The answer is yes. kit.300-500 on average. 300ish for a tune. However if you dont have any EM..your looking at alot more

Yes, the gains are real, and safe if you read and do your homework prior to jumping in. Get tuned by someone who has experience with whatever engine management you decide on, and experience with water/meth/alky.

Just install the kit yourself. It is a straight forward install and then you get the satisfaction and experience of doing it yourself.
After you install it just get a tune for whatever you want to run in it.
maybe a fello membe would help you, if you were in NY I would install it, ask on your local boards.

It does allow you to make more power but just putting it on running the same amount of boost isn't really going to do anything for you. Now the alky will allow you to run that same amount of boost safer and also allow you to crank up the boost safely (with a tune).

11.5 at 124 with a 1.9 60ft OHH and 93 oct and self tuned (28 psi, gt35r.82, stock pistons)....I injured my synchro on the next run because of scratching 2nd gear so much. Fixed it but baby, wife and kid have been keeping me busy on these days. By the way I punish my block every single day, for 2 months on this alky setup! Thats why I also have a sprung 4 puck hub (6 puck should have done it for smoother ride but unavailable at time) after changing the synchro. Still on stock block.
