EnterTheDragon 01-02-2007, 07:16 AM wow, all because of mp3 compatibility? I figured I could pick one of these up for dirt cheap from someone who installed a real headunit. For $350 theres too many better options.
Those things are $800 new.
EnterTheDragon 01-17-2007, 07:16 PM so says subaru? who would pay $800 for a stock hu
the_wanderer 01-18-2007, 05:23 AM Cuz its AWESOME.
Duh.
And they're around $420 bucks new.. I want one, but I'm gonna wait until I can get one for something resembling a reasonable price. Considering that every 2007 WRX/STI has one of these head units, that means that there are gonna be a LOT of them out there..

Thats the 07+ MP3 6CD unit in the WRX/STi/Forester/etc
Dealer list price is $983.49. Dealer cost is $757.29
Thats not $420.
It might be possible that to UPGRADE from one unit to THAT unit...the cost is $420. But to buy it outright from SUBARU...no.
Subyslacker 01-18-2007, 07:04 PM I sold my for a hundred bucks
BuggeyEYED 01-18-2007, 08:11 PM thats all they should really go for is about 100 or so...i would like an 07 one too though..just to keep it stock looking and still have the mp3 and ipod thing.
EnterTheDragon 01-18-2007, 08:18 PM thats why i want one too.. mp3 compatible but unattractive to vehicle prowlers
fuzzymemory 01-19-2007, 08:53 AM There may be "better" options by aftermarket vendors but they won't retain the stock look that a subaru headunit offers. A $100 Sony XPlod CD headunit looks better to some crooks than a new subaru headunit. Car audio theft is higher in some areas than others, even for folks with alarms.
kirbwrx 01-20-2007, 04:27 PM are these direct plug and play on older models of the wrx?
Superorb 01-20-2007, 05:25 PM Do these have preouts at all? My factory speakers in the 02 wrx suck.
errosfitz 01-24-2007, 09:41 PM If anyone has one for sale at the $100 price point I'll buy!

TIA
pavelkolp 01-26-2007, 04:42 AM look thats a good price 250$ you guys are way up your ass's , just becouse you want them to sell around 100$ that doesent mean they will these units are very expensive if i would have seen this ad earlier i would of bought his radio
EnterTheDragon 01-26-2007, 07:39 PM have fun blowing that money on a crappy stock stereo...
Proxy One 02-12-2007, 03:55 PM Yeah no way pretty much any stock head unit is worth $250 but if people are willing to pay it then that seems to be what they will sell for. Just give it a few months to a year and the market will be full of them.
