I'm coming up on my 4th oil change and ive been getting it done at the dealer with regular motor oil. I wanted to start changing it myself and was thinking if i shoudl switch to synthetic..if so which one would be best?
notes: I have a n 06 wrx and live in south florida which never gets cold.

I run Mobil1 5w30 for the last 115,000 miles without any issues. Some also like the new Pennzoil Platium but, we really don't have any long term real world feed back. I'm waiting to hear from people who have used it for say 125,000+ miles with good results. Used oil analysis indicate it is a very good oil though. Both these oils can be purchased at WalMart for $18-$22 for a 5 quart container.

Valvoline 10w-40 Synthetic Blend! I also have a stage4 car though which is generating more power and heat so I need thicker oil.
